Movie Plot:  In 1950s London, renowned fashion designer Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) makes clothes for members of the high society. His charisma matches his obsessive and controlled personality. Cyril (Leslie Manville), her sister, manages the day-to-day affairs of her fashion house and it has a significant impact on her life. Superstitious Reynolds is haunted by the death of her mother, and often the messages hidden in whatever clothes they wear are stabbed. After designing a new gown for a revered customer, Countess Henrietta Harding (Gina Mackey), Reynolds visits a restaurant in the countryside and is interested in an exotic waitress, Alma Elson (Vicky Grips). She tells him to have dinner with him, and she accepts. Their relationship develops, and she walks with him, becomes his model, muse and lover. Cyril initially disbelieves Alma but respects his will and determination.
